MeeT Linda Bell
I met Linda, also known as the Queen of Positivity, at Weldon Bond Studio while I was doing a shoot with some other photographers. She was there preparing to shoot with another photographer, and although we only had a short conversation that day, we have remained acquaintances ever since.
Over the years, we stayed in contact, and I continued seeing her on social media enjoying these amazing solo dates. Of course, I had questions! I eventually reached out to her, and that's when we began talking more about what she does and the work she provides to women.
Linda is a Certified Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Confidence Coach, Model, and Model Coach with over 25 years of modeling, posing, and runway experience.
She specializes in helping women build confidence from the inside out. She teaches women how to pose naturally and confidently in front of the camera, improve their posture, facial expressions, and body language, increase self-confidence and self-love, overcome camera anxiety, embrace their unique beauty, and develop a positive mindset that extends far beyond the photoshoot.
For the past month, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Linda because, just like many of the women I photograph, I am also working through different areas of my own confidence and femininity.
One of those areas has been learning how to walk in 👠 and pouring more love into myself.
Growing up as a tomboy, I never really had much interest in heels or some of the things traditionally associated with femininity. But working with Linda has encouraged me to step outside of what I've always known and explore another side of myself.
We've also worked on other areas of my feminine journey, and honestly, it has been an amazing experience.
And this is one of the reasons I believe Linda would be such a great resource for my clients.
As a photographer, posing is something I absolutely help my clients with. When you step in front of my camera, I'm not expecting you to automatically know what to do. I guide you through your poses, help with body positioning, facial expressions, movement, and finding angles that make you feel beautiful and confident.
But Linda brings something different to the table.
I understand this industry from behind the camera. Linda has spent more than 25 years experiencing it in front of the camera as a model, runway model, posing coach, and confidence coach.
She understands what it feels like to be the woman being photographed.
She understands the nerves, the uncertainty, the questions of “What do I do with my hands?” or “Am I posing right?” She understands how body language, posture, movement, facial expressions, and confidence can completely change the way a woman carries herself in front of the camera.
Her experience gives her a different perspective on the modeling and photography industry—one that comes from actually being in front of the lens and coaching other women through that experience.
And I've personally experienced the difference.
That's important to me because I don't believe I have to be the only resource my clients have.
As a photographer, I can create beautiful images, but I also want the women I photograph to feel good before, during, and after their session.
Sometimes the woman sitting in front of my camera doesn't need another person to tell her that she's beautiful. She may need someone to help her believe it.
She may struggle with posing. She may feel uncomfortable in her body. She may have camera anxiety. She may not know what to do with her hands, her face, or her body when the camera comes out. Or maybe she has spent so many years taking care of everyone else that she has forgotten what it feels like to pour back into herself.
That's where someone like Linda can make a difference.
She doesn't just teach women how to pose. She helps women become more comfortable with who they are.
And when that confidence begins to show from the inside out, I get to capture it through my lens.
This is bigger than photography for me.
I want TTEN Studios to be a space where Black women can celebrate themselves, tell their stories, embrace every chapter of womanhood, and see themselves in a way they may not have seen themselves before.
I want the experience to be about more than just taking pictures.
I can help you see yourself through my lens.
Linda can help you become more comfortable being seen.
And when those two perspectives come together, I believe we can create an experience that goes far beyond a photoshoot.
Sometimes, the photograph is just the beginning.
